About Me
Hello, my name is Mikayla Kelly and I am a sports journalist who recently graduated from Auburn University with an emphasis in sports broadcasting. Upon graduation, it is my goal to become an influential female in the sports media industry.
During my time as a student I was the Sports Producer for Eagle Eye TV, Auburn's student run television station. In this role, I wrote and produced the live Sports Night in Auburn show. This past year this show was nominated for a College Television Award. I have experience with anchoring, stand-ups, shooting live games, writing and stacking shows, creating graphics, producing, and editing on Adobe Premiere, Rush, Photoshop, Audition and InDesign. In my last semester, I created my own show called, "Around the SEC."
I have worked with SEC Nation personality's Marty Smith and Ryan McGee and appeared live on ESPN's Countdown to College Game Day Show.
The core of my skills stems from my ability to write. In my time at Auburn, I have written articles for the official auburntigers.com website and Eagle Eye's website.
I was a founding member of the Auburn Advance, a news product started by Auburn University's advanced sports reporting students. Through this we covered high school sports in the Lee County area and published a newsletter and podcast each week.
